my XP stop recognise hardware what have drivers as default inside XP!

as example: I attach 80GB Western Digital hard disk and system ask me
driver! sure same hard disk is recognised automaticaly on any other
    Windows.. or

system ask me driver for DigitalCamera (manufacturer say drivers are inside
XP) same camera is recognised automaticaly on any other Windows..

saystem ask me drivers for Sony DVD RW DW-D22A cd rom burner (here is
interesting that I can see this CD-ROM burner in DeviceManager recognised,
but system still ask me on start driver every time after reboot)

I wish fix it on some way, but nothing find on Google... I am wait and wait,
but after last problem with CD-ROM I must ask help..

Try downloading and installing the latest chipset (motherboard) drivers.

Sounds like it may be time to do a new format and install of XP. Either that, or there could be a problem with the chipset itself.
