hi, i have an hp 4x DVD+R/W drive and it worked fine until a week ago. i have burned several DVD's on it before without fail, but when i tried to burn one of my movies last week i inserted the blank DVD and was about to burn when something horribly wrong happened. when i hit "burn" a notice appeared on my computer screen that said "one or more of your drivers has been disabled on this computer because it causes stability problems. well i didnt know what to do and i accidentally deleted the DVD driver, and now i cant even play dvd movies on my computer anymore, what should i do? i have windows xp home edition and an hp computer with an hp dvd+r/w drive, can someone please help me reinstall the driver or do something else so i can get back to burning dvds asap?

    Hi,

You might try uninstalling the drive through Device manager.

Device Manager > DVD/CD Rom Drives > double click your burner > Driver > then click uninstall. Reboot after you do this and windows should detect the burner and reinstall it.
