Dell 8250 Ram upgrade

    folks,

    have an old dell 8250 that requires rambus, however will only accept speeds of 40ns or less.
    alas, have some rambus that is 45ns, and therefore the motherboard doesn't accept it.

    any thoughts on flashing the bios to enable it to recognise this rambus, or is it just set in stone what the motherboard will see.

    any thoughts most welcome
