Hey guys, hope you guys can help me, i have a dell inspiron 1150 and lately my battery status light is blinking orange and green. Usually if it is solid orange it is charging but now its orange and green. I charged it already and it is full battery and i try just running on the battery without the AC adapter, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN MAKE IT STOP BLINKING, it is very very annoying, thanks

I have seen situations where if a battery is drained almost completely, the BIOS has an issue determining its actual status and is unable to charge the battery. I would try to update the BIOS, drain the battery completely (if not already done) and pull the battery out for about 15 minutes. Put it back in and attempt to charge it again.

Honestly, I would agree with ^^^^^^. Check with dell to make sure you dont have one of the Sony made batteries. Those are the ones that are exploding. Linky:
    https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/
<notice its https...thats why the link doesnt work. Copy and paste into browser. It is the official Dell site for the battery recall.>
After you have determined that Dell didnt sell you a timebomb, check Dells site for a BIOS update. This goes straight to the site for BIOS upgrades for your laptop.

EDIT: Fixed link and edited for clarity.
