I know we have talked b4 about Dell getting us from the back side, but I do have a legit ?. Almost a year ago I bought sum headphones from dell, they r plantronics dsp 500. I couldn't find them any cheaper on the net then what dell was selling them 4. I paid 62.00 bucks which was well worth I might say, but now I noticed after looking through there site that they r now selling the same headphones for 80.00 bucks and that's on sell. One of the other things that dell is selling is a 9600xt by diamond viper for 179.00. Diamond Multimedia sells it for 119.00. What's the deal. Is dell in financial trouble. Ha Ha.
When they they see a product has good sales and good reviews they jack up the price. WHY? Just like every other company, they know a lot of people wait for reviews on products before they purchase. Not all people are computer savvy enough to realize that they don't have to buy everything from their PC manufacturer. So they markup their prices for their target consumers to generate higher profits. It's business. Is it good business to plunder the wallets of the uninformed? Well, apparently, it hasn't hurt sales as DELL continues to be in the top of the market.
I'm just being crazy...Dell makes quality products and yes they are a good company. I'm a govt. employee (Air Force) and that's all we use and I know first hand how good their customer service is. Nevertheless, they do stick it to you with the prices.
