it's a comp that im looking to buy its got 2 512mb slots of pc-3200 the now. im looking to add 2 1GB slots of pc-4200 the computer's motherboard takes pc-4200. it also has 4 banks of ram. so this should all be possible. will all the slots run at the slowest speed.
Yes the mobo will automatically will slow down the ram to match the slower stuff. So ya better off using the faster ram and blowing the slower ram out on ebay.
