I have a dell inspiron 9100, and i cant play burned dvds....is there a program i can download or what. SOmeone help me out
Nope.. I ain't sure whut thet dell in sprining theng is, cuz me an me bro Bill.. just kinda threw this together. If you have an interest or a problem, most of us will try to help.
You should be able to play your DVD's through Windows Media Player or PowerDVD or Nero Showtime if you have these programs. Usually when you put a CD/DVD in the drive the screen comes up and asks you what you want to do and what program it should use. What kind of drive to you have, the fact that you have a Dell Inspiron comp is not enough info.
@ryo155, this is a double post which is against Forum rules, your question is being answered in 2 threads. I have asked a moderator to close this one.
i've closed the other 2 duplicate threads and edited the title of this one to be more meaningful. And i've teleported thread to a more relevant forum.
download dvdinfopro (free) from www.dvdinfopro.com (choose the version with adverts). it can do quite a few things but for now you can use it to identify the firmware revision of your drive, then check here to see which version matches your drive and we can go from there - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1649
Since you have a Dell here is the latest support release for your drive it was released 11.08.05 http://support.dell.com/support/dow...&typecnt=1&vercnt=1&formatcnt=1&fileid=142371
ok, my firmware revison number is u203, when i click on the u203 thing nothin happends but if i click on u205 or somthin the download manger thing comes up...what to do?????
sorry, my email's been playing up a lot. the firmware file at that link is an executable file, download and run it, make sure to read up on what's involved first, ie don't reset pc while you do the update, don't power off and make sure there's no blank disc in the drive when you do it
i tried that but when i start the download. it go like 2% and then it says it failed and needs to restart the computer
