Can anyone tell me if I can use dvdfab decrypter with either dell media or sonic programs? I have both and they both have dvd copy capabilities. I know it sounds redundant but,I'd rather be safe than sorry....Thanx

My new Dell has media center in it and also has MySonicDVD and Record Now. the PowerDVD will only show a DVD and not files ripped from Fab Decrypter. you will need a region free player for that. MyDVD (from Sonic) or Record Now will only open video files of .mpg or .iso files. you can download DVDDecrypter here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm
and decrypt to an .iso file.... then open it with Record Now. But you have to shrink the movie to a DVD5 (single sided DVD, 4463). You're better off decrypting with Fab Decryter or DVDDecryter and then using DVDShrink (get it here, it's freeee: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm) and follow the wonderfull guide from BBMayo: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/guides.htm

this is straight forward and you'll have no problems once you master the programs! It's also fun learning! and simple to do! Thanks to BBmayo and all the wonderful people from AfterDawn!
