desk top icons

    im just wondering why it takes so long for my desk top icons to pop up after my pc starts up.my desktop picture comes up first then it seems 2-4 minutes later my icons appear is there anything i can do to correct it

    How many icons are on your desktop? If you have a lot, I would suggest running a desktop cleanup to get rid of those you do not use.

    This also may be related to performance issues with your PC, such as not having enough memory, too many startup items or needing to defrag your hard drive. Any of these can slow down your system. What are the specs of your PC?
