i have a problem with my desktop resolution. When i first turn on my laptop, the resolution size is right where it should be. then it shrinks. it starts out at 1024X768, and then shrinks to 800X600. whenever i pull up the setting it says it is on 1024X768. but in reality it is not. so i have to switch it over to 800X600, let is apply, then switch it back to 1024X768. apply the new setting and it is fine, until the screen saver comes up or i shut it down. can anyone help me with this problem. if this is the wrong forum i am sorry.
weird, maybe un-installing then reinstalling your graphic card would solve the problem? or maybe your graphic card isnot plugged properly
Did you update the drivers recently for it? I had this with a nVidia card, on boot the resolution would be very low and i'd have to switch it back. If you did try rolling back the driver.
just wanted to let you guys know that i got everything working again. i uninstalled and reinstalled my video adaptor. seems to have done the trick. btw, this was on a laptop.
