One random day my CD/DVD RW stopped working. I thought I could just reset my computer and be done with it or that it would fix itself and it didnt, unfortunately. I looked up my hardware in my system and it says under CD/DVD rom drive that Prioneer DVD-RW DVR-K16RS has a yellow ! on it. After Double clicking on it it says: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) I searched and searched the net for a driver and it didnt work. All I see is forums about people with the same problem. Any suggestions and possible help? Thanks a lot.
I have the same issue with my Pioneer DVR-K16RS. I have an Acer5100. Acer told me to ship my computer back but I was hoping someone had an answer. Did you figure it out yet? Thanks
Matty1174: I've had many problems with drivers corrupting and most times I've used Regcure and found that it sometimes fixed drivers/registry errors, I managed to run it and 3 times out of 4 it's corrected driver problems and a lot of other errors that I've found on my travelmate 2451wlmi laptop. You should be able to go to Paretologic.net website where you can run a free scan and see what it comes up with,it worked for me
Regcure is the best thing I've used on my 2451wlmi,cured every problem I've ever had. The same company has xoftspyse and it also finds and cures a lot spyware issues as well. It may be another idea is to check the firmware version for that drive to see if there's a difference between the 5100 and the 2450 travelmate sometimes there's updates to it as well
