Hi guys, What software can I use to remove audio from a video (either avi or mp4), edit it (various situations call for various edits, such as: editing, noise removal, normalizing, etc) and then re-attach the audio to the video (without affecting the video itself). Any info or links (or "google keywords") are most welcome. thanks
Audacity is a very good program to do the audio editing. Install ffmpeg for Audacity, and then you can open the MP4/AVI...to edit the audio directly without first demuxing/separating it from the video. Then you can use Avimux Gui/Yamb/MKVMerge and remux the video with the new, edited audio. http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#installffmpeg
