Detach audio from avi, edit audio, re-attach. How?

    Hi guys,

    What software can I use to remove audio from a video (either avi or mp4), edit it (various situations call for various edits, such as: editing, noise removal, normalizing, etc) and then re-attach the audio to the video (without affecting the video itself).

    Any info or links (or "google keywords") are most welcome.

    Use Avidemux.
    Open the file, then select "audio" at the top, and you'll find a way to save it.
