Hi. i have learned allot about computers in the past, and i have never found out how to tell what motherboards are better than others, as well as CPU's, RAM, Graphics cards, ect. is there a secret to knowing whats better

example: how can you tell if a radeon 9600 graphics card is better or not better than a geforce 6800 oc graphics card.

example: how can you tell that corseair Ram is better than buffalo ram.

i have had this question for a long time and everyone that i talked to just said that you just have to know it and there is no way to tell just by looking at the box's or hardware.

but i think that there has got to be a way to tell what hardware is better than others.

if any one can help me with my question i would apreciate it very much.

    thnx guys

Honestly RAM is all the same as long as you get a good brand of RAM just to be on the safe side.
Im guessing that for graphic cards you get the most modern type and the best brand name and you'll be fine and dandy.
For cpus you're looking for the core speed and go with athlon.Try and get a dual croe processeur if possible.
