Greetings all, Basically I'm trying to see if there is a way through windows'XP settings what level of speed a USB connection is running at. Point in case; I have a SIIG USB add in card but unfortunately, I pulled it out of storage for use to access two external USB 2.0 hard drive cases and backup some big files. The problem is that I believe the card IS a 1.1 interface, do to it's potential speeds. How can I actually "see" or "know" if it's actually running under windows as a 1.1 port vs a 2.0 ported speed? Thank you in advance for any help!
Right click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager > expand Universial Serial Bus Controllers. If Enhanced Host Controller and/or USB 2.0 Root Hub Device is listed, then the computer has USB 2.0 ports. If Universal Host Controller and/or Open Host Controller is listed, then the computer has USB 1.1 ports.
