Dev Hook, where do i put the ROM?

I've got it all set up so that I can use the program (I'm using .22) but I don't know where to put the rom... or if it needs to be an archive or if it needs a special folder. I've tried alot of different ways, all the files in DEV...% and DEV HOOK directories. outside it in the game directory but i can't boot them up... anyone be able to help me? I can use the sega and snes and neogeo and... well everything apart from my many millions of PSP roms.

someone explain. if you need more details for what I've got just ask.

Well, I've tried that but it doesn't even register an iso being in there, i've tried ssx, wipeout and something else. but it just doesn't work. *sigh*
