Hi Folks, Im having a problem at this time. I have followed step by step instructions on scuba petes website on how to totally make a back up DVD. I have gotten to the point where the entire DVD that im copying was shrunk with DVD shrink. When it completed the shrink, it was supposed to start burning with DVD decrypter. It looks the the decrypter came up and loaded all the information but it wont start burning. There is an error that says Device not ready at the very bottom of the DVD Decryptor program. How do i start burning the movie? Any help would be great. Thanks folks.
your drive might not be able to read the media make sure it is compatable with the drive (ie-r,+r,-rw,dual layer) what is your drive include make &model if you can and the type of media you are using
It is a Phillips DVD+RW. Its a brand new dell computer. I dont understand why this isnt working. Ive tried evertything on this page. http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide3.html
Zappamann-- Not sure--but I used to have a Phillips DVD burner and it would only burn (+) media--not (-)--Have you tried DVD+R or DVD+RW? Good quality media is important--TY,Sony, Maxell or Ritek--not Memorex--Good Luck Whitfield
zappa try this link it is an exc. app that will let you know the make & model of your drive the type of media it is campatable w/ the fuji-film -r's are hit or miss it depends on the manufacturer. try it out and copt paste results here. http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
Make sure your Decrypter screen looks like this one, you can see if your media is being recognized on the side of the screen.
Well, after 8 hours of trying to figure out what the problem was; My burner wasnt capable of using (-) media. Went back to the store, picked up (+) and sucess. Thanks to everyone for the help. Z
