    Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have the new DG-16D2S Lite-on drive. I know I can extract the key but it is not flashable.

What is better / easier / cheaper?

A.) Get a conectivity kit & serial adapter, extract key then buy and flash a new drive?

    OR

    B.) Get a modchip?

I have read all of the firmware flashing guides, posts & tuts, but nothing on modchips. If a modchip is a better solution, which modchip(s) will be compatible with the DG-16D2S drive?

Why can't you flash it? It's been flashable for about 9 months

What? IT is now flashable? I thought it was un-flashable? I have read numerous posts / threads (recent ones)stating you can only extract the key and dump it onto another drive.

I don't suppose you can point me in the right direction by posting a link to a helpful thread.

I take it I can still use Jungleflasher, Iprep, or Dosflash and there isnt anything else new? Or have I been reading the wrong stuff again?

There is afterall 3 years worth of threads regading flashing the firmware.

    Thanks btw!

All in the ultimate sticky at the top of the page. If not what you're after look for a post with the member Leerage and look at his signature.

That would of been the newer liteon drive the threads were about, which is now flashable.
