A friend of mine recently purchased a new video card as his other one died on him and he wanted to stick with a GeForce but he wanted to upgrade from his 256MB 7300GT (i think it was that) so he got a DiabloTek Geforce 512MB 8400 series (i am pretty sure it is a 8400GS) and he has been using to play World of Warcraft. He has noticed that while fighting the new video card is much improved over the old one, however while he is moving through the environment the game starts to lag. Does anybody know what can be causing this lag during movement? The card is PCI Express, OS is Windows XP, Pretty sure the latest DirectX 9 is installed.
8400GS is not a gaming card. you would need something along the 8600GT or higher. also, does he have a quality power supply?
