I purchased a DVD player, the brand is Diamond Vision and the model is DVDV807-03A. It came with the regualr DVD cable with the red, yellow and white on each end and the remote. I've tried hooking it up to my TV by the colors and which they correspond and I get a good picture but there's no sound. The back of the player has the following jacks in the following order:
    Y (which is colored green)
    Pb/Cb (which is colored blue)
    Pr/Cr (which is colored red)
    Video (which is colored yellow)

    and on the bottom

    L (which is colored white)
    R (which is colored red)
    COAXIAL (which is colored orange)
S-Video (which is a huge jack for something)

My tv has the following under Input 1:
    Video (which is yellow)
    Mono/L (which is white)
    Audio (which is red)

I hooked up the cables according to their color at the back of my tv with white to the mono/L, red to the audio and video to the yellow. That was simple, but I tried doing that with the DVD player and it worked sort of, but there are TWO jacks that are red. I tried switching them but that's not working. Why is there no sound? My tv speakers work fine.

The DVD player audio is the L-R jacks (white and red) so it sounds like it's hooked up properly.
