diamond vision progressive scan dvd player

    i bought a diamond vision dvd player model number dvdv807-04..it says it plays dvd+r/rw burned dvd's.but everytime i try to play one it says wrong disk,can someone help me out with this?

    I'd return it.

    It's possible to bitset +Rs (and, in certain cases, +RWs) but you either need a DVD burner that bitsets or need to use a hacked firmware if one's available. Let me know what burner you have and I can point you in the right direction. You will also have to use burning software that supports bitsetting (Nero, DVD-Decrypter and IMGBurn do) and re-burn any +Rs you've already made.

    That's still not a guarantee but it greatly increases DVD+R compatibility.

    I suggest just getting a Philips 642, 5140 or 5960. They play everything. They'd probably play LPs if you could fit them in the tray.
