Did anyone get Streammygame.com working? it says you can stream pc games to play on ps3 hardware so high quality games like Bioshock can be played through linux. The linux version has not been released yet so it is not possible to do so on the ps3 yet, but maybe in the next month or so. Good find though. Imagine playing Halo on your ps3 through linux.
Yeah it on their site but you still have to have at least one computer capable of playing the game for windows
I doubt that it will be able to play games that require a lot of graphics because sony only allows a little bit of the ram to be accesed.
Thats what I thought as well. But then I read Knuck1ez post about also needing a computer that can play it, so basically the PS3 is only displaying the image and not actually doing much else. Kinda like a modified screen sharing type system.
Oh, that really doesn't seem worth it because to buy a computer that could play some of the highend games is wicked expensive.
I was just wondering something. I don't know if it would work, but it sounds possible in my mind. Maybe there could be computers that have the game and they could stream it to any ps3 like a server so that all you would need is the ps3. That probably wouldn't be legal though.
Thats basically what it is, but all its streaming is the games screen and probably audio which seems like a bit of waste of time, really.
omg! what games have you tried? Also doesnt your pc do all the graphic etc work, isnt it like connecting your pc to a hdtv or dos ps3 do some of the work to run the game?
What the program does is turn the stream into a video stream so your pc still does all the work. Halo 2 worked for me and there was no graphics loss.
So basically the game is streamed to your computer from which the stream is sent to your PS3? Or can we just stream the game from a remote computer to your PS3?
Go to the website and look at it. You can stream to a list of different things. All you need is a host computer. It is simple to setup if you follow the tutorial.
I just checked their website... from what I understand my 132 KBs uplink speed will not be sufficient for streaming a game through a remote location. This means that I will have to rely on playing the game on my personal computer and streaming it through my home network from there?
Thats what I do. I don't plan on streaming from other people but it is nice if I ever choose to do so.
