Did i get the wrong converter?

    Alright, so i bought a lite on dvd burner for my dell without checking to see if it was sata or ide. So i bought it and its sata and my computer is ide. So i bought a converter but i cant figure out how to connect it all together.

    Am i missing another power cable piece or something? How the hell do i hook this thing up?

    It seems you have everything you need. The IDE part of the bridge(the long,black and flat part with multiple holes), plugs in to the motherboard. The part where it connects to looks something like this(the colors are probably different, maybe black):

    alright thanks what do i plug into the slot on the back of the burner that says Sata power. The plug is only big enough to fit into sata data?

    Also, where does the other end of the 2 sided sata cable go. One end into teh burner and the other one......?
