On the cd version of sm, does anyone know the difference between normal boot and special boot? Also, I had a question about PS2 Reality media player. I can't get it to work. I compiled with cdgenps2 and fixed the 16 bad sectors. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
I'm not sure what the difference is. When my CD or DVD won't boot, I do a special boot and it usually works. That's all I know and it's all I need to know
yea, sometimes thats the same for me too. /\ /\ Most of the time they work on normal boot. Killzone on DVD wont work period. LoL. Anyway, if someone knows, share! Any nfo on ps2 reality player?
damn! guess i didn't think to use 'special boot' when my archives didn't work - i'd just throw the dvd-r's away! bummer. :-( oh well...I'll just 2x check it next time
wow, well dont get too sad, only about 1/10 of the time special boot works! Well, on my ps2 anyway! LoL
ya..i was wondering that too...but about the ps2reality player...anyone figured out how to network it to ur comp to where u can import media to ur ps2? cant seem to get it to work...i think because i cant find javasdk libraries anywhere..grr
[bold]to mooogle:[/bold] you use the dvd disc when when your backup is on a dvd-r and the cd disc when your backup is on a cd-r. Almost all of the ps2 games are on DVD so you'll use the swap magic DVD disc a lot more. I mainly use the CD for emulators. [bold]to cloner:[/bold] To do a special boot you just press the "square" button on the controller instead of the "x" button when you're booting the disc.
ah i guess that makes sense, dunno y i didnt think of that b4 =P But that still doesnt solve my FFX-2 problem, in which the title screen comes up where i can choose start new game or load game no problems, but when i start a new game it freezes the gameon the start up FMV, im using swap magic 3.3 so wat could the problem be?
PSTwo, Swap Magic 3.3, FFX-2 PAL version - loaded using normal boot, played just fine, got into a fight right after de FMV sequence - faulty game copy...?
