Difference between PAL and NTSC?

    can anyone give me info on what these 2 things mean?

    they are video formats for different regions of the country. There are 3 of them as far as i know.
    NTSC-U (United States)
    NTSC-J (Japan)
    PAL (Europe)
    now some other countries also use those formats but that is just the general idea. What they have is different screen rates.

    And you can mod your XBOX ( softmod or hard mod ) and play all regions !
