    Dear friends,

Whats the difference between these files
    SP file name M4Vxxxxx.MP4
    AVC file name MAQxxxxx.MP4

    EXPLANATION

OK, when I convert to M4Vxxxxx.MP4 it produces two files, one is the movie file around 3-400Mega and another small file around 10KB
When I copy those files to a proper PSP movie folder on my memory stick , the movie works.

    MY QUESTION IS
When I convert to a MAQxxxx.MP4 it creates only one file,
    WHY?

When I put that file on that PSP movie folder, and if I wanna run that movie says NO VIDEO FILES

    WHY?
HOW DO I RUN MAQxxxx.MP4 files, because I read in this forum site that MAQ**** files have better video quality and speed

    HELP PLEASE

    Im using IVIDEOTOGO, intervideo.com

    Its to do with firmware
if your using a 1.5 firmware psp then it only supports SP MP4

if your using 2.0 and up then it supports both SP and AVC MP4

So if your using 1.5 firmware thats why its not working upgrade to 2.0
    or encode in SP

EDIT: Dood your questions were answered here

    go here http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/10
find 2.0 eboot (if your psp is US version get US eboot, if JAP get JAP EBOOT)

Connect your psp to pc and go to the folder PSP
in that folder is GAME in the GAME folder you need to create a folder called UPDATE

Now the eboot you downloaded is probably compressed youll need to use winrar to extract it, once done youll see the real eboot file inside

Get that file and put it in PSP\GAME\UPDATE
    so it will be PSP\GAME\UPDATE\eboot.pbp

Then go to games on memory stick and start update, make sure you got enuff power in battery and dont turn it off during upgrades.

Im pretty sure EUR and US works the same. I dont reccomend updating via the network update with wireless router it WILL take you str8 to 2.6. At least at 2.0 you can still downgrade it back to 1.5 anything higher than 2.0 eg 2.01 cant be downgraded keep that in mind.

You have audio sync issues, i dont really know how to fix it. Some programs i used did this other ones didnt. The ones which did it for me was the Xilisoft and Imtoo psp converter, video9 and MMM have good sync.

    Sudds wrote this for you,
In ur MP_ROOT folder gipa create another one called 100ANV01 put ur MAQxxxxx.MP4 files in this folder

so AVC movies go into 100ANV01 folder
and SP goes into 100MNV01 folder

I have firmware 2.0 on mine and also can not play ASV and get the same error message. I can only play SP movie files. I think on formware 2.0 and below you can only play SP and anything above 2.0 will play ASV aswell.

i used video9, at highest profiles.
this is the first ive heard of AVC probs on 2.0.

your on 2.0 right? you want full resolution?

Gipa this is for you too, sorry for not telling you about this b4 you upgraded, as this requires 1.5.

Firstly Downgrade back to 1.5 then

    get this program Xvid4PSP http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19972
it will convert a DVD or AVI to a pmp file.

If converting a DVD, add disc, dont rip as IFO, it wont work.
    If avi add file.
    Then start
    To play
    http://jonny.leffe.dnsalias.com/
    get pmpmod102 there
and put it on your psp

Now go to your PSP folder and make a new folder in ther called VIDEO
put your PMP file on there.

NOTE: This is encoding at 480X272 your psps fullscreen resolution.
When the action is too fast little bit of pixelation occurs sometimes(very little), but when its a talking scene or the scene doesnt move fast its ultra clear.
