    Hiya,

Currently I have a executer 2 lite installed (no soldering).
Sometimes though I have to re-attach the chip, because of a bad contact with the motherboard.

But now I thought : Can't I softmod my xbox easier with the a chip in it?
If so will I lose some advanteges if I remove the chip and only use softmod?

if you soft mod it will be basically the same, you only have a few advantages with mod chips. the only major difference is that mod chips don't ruin your xbox, where as soft modding might.

    stick with the chip
really they do the same thing, but some things like swapping out for a larger HDD are much eaier on a chipped system
If you are worried about a lose chip then get someone with experience to solder it in place.

I think I'll try to solder it a bit or so then...
