Hi all, just signed up and am quite new to this. First off, thanks for the code updates over the last while...you guys are excellent! Secondly, what are the differences between the firmwares? ie - is there any reason to upgrade? Am thinking of going to v4 (yep, I have an original star view...checked that) Thirdly, I'm on Ntl ireland, but when I went into the installation menu, it was set to TW. I changed it to Ntl and did an auto scan. This only found 31 channels and then appended them to my existing (pretty full) range of channels. I was doing this because I did read here to re-install the channels in order to get the sound back on the ones which went silent. So, I guess I'm doing it wrong. Any help would be great. Sorry if these are basic questions.
if you update to v4 you will not have to put keys in.also your channel problem try factory reset then rescan the channels.
