differene between a sony 100mhz tv and a hd tv

    I have a sony tv trinton that is a few years old.

    it is a 100mhz, what is the difference between this and a hd tc?

    it runs at a resolution that's a quarter of most hd sets out there, and the colors on it are probably not as realistic, either.
