Is this the same problem I'm trying to solve?

To put it in plain English, the DVD rip has different aspect ratios when played on your PC and TV. The computer displays a widescreen 16:9, however, when you play it on a standalone DVD player, it displays in fullscreen 4:3.

Seems like it's making the "Help Me" rounds:

I'd like to solve it as well. There must be a simple way to make sure your dvd burn displays widescreen no matter what device it's played on.

    Any suggestions?
