ok so iv had a broken xbox for ever (because i formmated my c drive and got rid of the linux files) and i finaly got a cheap box off of some one i kno it works fine.. like xbox live and crap but the dvd drive is broken and doesnt read any thing..is there a way i can take my good dvd drive and replace it with the broken one or did xbox make it will a key like the hdd
it worked for me, i put a newer drive from my 1.6 into my 1.0 xbox without any problems... and they dont use the same drive type...
yeah, live should work fine, hey, are you selling the working box with a screwed up harddrive on ebay? let me know if you do and ill buy it cus im looking for a motherboard right now, i can fix the harddrive problems..... just take out the entire drive and swap the whole thing, your going to need torx screw drivers
