Digital Max DRW-5S163 Firmware

    Has anyone upgraded the Digital Max DRW-5S163 to the Lite On 1635? I want to try it but am afaird I may damage something.

    If drives use the same chipset, then there is no harm crossflashing it.
    I would say use the stock firmware of the LiteOn you intend to cross flash to.
    Then update accordingly.

    I haven never crossflashed a drive myself, as I have had no need to, but I have helped people through it, so know what I'm talking about ;-)
