Well your question isn't really clear since DirecTV is digital, but I'll go with the assumption that by digital you mean digital cable. And the answer is... It depends. Are you talking standard definition or HD? Does DirecTV offer all the local channels in your area and/or do you care? Are there any other channels you want that are available on the cable system but not on DirecTV? Do you want to use a PVR with your TV?
Yeah, pretty much. I just thought I'd ask the questions first. I have Dish Network myself, and while I'd consider switching to DirecTV (actually I'm planning on it when my current contract's up), I'd never go back to the cable company with their "aren't you lucky to be our customer" attitude, quality, and prices.
