I am very new to this. I love the whole concept of picture storge on disks but I am not finding any how to sites that are helping answere the myraid of questions I am compiling. I have heard that verbatim disks are the best, longest lasting, but do not know if they have a specila disk for photo purposes or whether to go with cd-r, or cd-rw.
Is it better to burn photos at high speed or a slower speed. What photo cd disks do you all use that give best quality results. I have had memorex disks turn out grainy looking, FUJI FILM DISKS have a smoother look but some of the photos for some reason appear to have lightened up dramatically. My initial purchase of a verbatim disks I am guesing I purchased the wrong disks for the job, someone suggested I purchased MP3 disks, so they won't store images, I thought cd-r was cd-r???

I have used about 20 different CD brands and types. I have noticed no difference in photo quality. Some may be tougher, less prone to scratching, etc., but they all store pictures in digital format. As long as you drive reads them, they should work. I have thousands of pictures on CDs.
