    Folks,

I want to update the firmware on my Digivox receiver. However, I don't have a serial port on my PC to connect a null modem cable to the receiver. I have a USB to Serial (rs232) cable which is not null modem but I have heard that, with a Digivox, this will work fine.
Can any one tell me if this is the case?

    Regards,
    Meanjd

    Hi all !
wanting to update the firmware on my digivox, i got a (rs232) cable female on both sides , my toshiba laptop does not have this rs232 port so the cable is no use. I did notice that there is another port around the same size as the rs232 port but instead of 9 holes like the digivox rs232 ,this has 14 holes (not sure what its for ?). Is there a cable that connects the 2 or am i better off connecting to the usb?
    cheers all thanks
