digivox. won,t flash

Hi

Have a digivox its silver took it to a mate to get re flashed but won`t re flash any help appreciated

 

how are they trying to flash it? do they have pc with xp and com port
and null modem cable, downloader 10 and firmware v4200,

I don,t know how my friends does it but he is into electronics
as a job so i think he knows what he,s doing.I noticed on the forum that others are having same prob

 

usual problem is wrong cable used,has he used that cable before and worked
