digivox xl

i have been reading a few threads on this forum regarding the latest on the digivox xl and how they are not up and running but being a newcomer reading between the lines suggests that any quickfire way to perhaps get rid of this problem isn't allowed to be broadcast for legal/whatever reasons ,i am a technophobe but can follow instructions to overcome, is it at all possible for someone who is obviously in the know to point me in the right direction by way of PM? this would be grateful as the place where i aquired it have no idea as to when or how i'll be up and running again, two anxious kids for their cartoons and a nagging wife going on about her dodgy shopping channels in waiting not to mention the footy im missing.......kind regards bs5
