I want to add another HD Direct TV box to my Den TV but put the box in a cabinet below the tv. I see the HD box has a plug on the back labeled IR as in I believe for a remote IR target. Can anybody tell me what I need for this. Best Buy tried to sell me a $250 gadget. I am hoping it is just a wire with a remote target.
    Thanks.

That sounds like its for a IR receiver but you should check with DTV just to make sure. Some also have a UHF port on them. Those adapters are around $50. and the remote works off UHF radio frequency so in most cases will work through walls or cabnets.
