ok so i've been looking around to see if my pc can handle the new windows vista premium edition, and so i found that my pc is more than capable of handling the os,but can my gpu handle dx10,i can't seem to find any info on this,i doubt it will, but i just wanna make sure...I have two geforce 6800xt's...will i be able to install direct x10,will my gpu support it???
well well the answer is no but directx 10 cards could emulate directx 9 anyways click this link to c directx 10 in action click the directx 9 pic so u could c the directx 10 1 even if somehow u could install directx 10 on ure 2 video cards u wouldnt even get 15fps on low
Direct X 10 video cards will not be out until the end of the year. There are no cards right now that can use DX10.
AE27's right no cards currently out will support it, only geforce 8 series and higher i'm not sure about ati's card but i'd assume it'd be something higher than a X1900. heres a link for some of the specs of the upcoming geforce 8 series cards and they are looking very good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_8_Series http://www.gamearena.com.au/messageboards/tech/thread.php/3787516
