I had a similar prob with your #2 movie when making a backup copy. The vob files either had directors comentary or no audio at all. However I used AutoGK ( you can find it under software) and the audio is fine took me about 7hrs to convert though. Just make sure you select the english 6ch audio the 2ch is the directors commentary. Also you always want to check Forced subtitles. That way if there is one small scene that needs a little translation you can still see it without having the whole movie in subs. Enjoy.
