I recently purchased a Pansat 3500SD FTA Receiver which has an embedded slot for cards. I am in contract with directv untill march so i pay for directv everymonth. How can i setup my receiver to access the regular direct tv programming with my card. I just want to use the new fta recevier for the same service.
The 3500 can't receive DTV programs but you can use the switching ability of it to switch between FTA and the DTV receiver. Run the DTV receiver output into the other FTA receiver input and then use the FTA remote to switch between the FTA programs or DTV receiver. If your not sure what I'm talking about check the manual for using 2 signal sources into the FTA receiver. You will still select DTV channels on that receiver not the FTA once its switched. Jerry
