Solutions for the "Cannot recognize disk/dirty disk error"

There are several Causes of the Dirty Disk Error
Most the time its causes by a dirty lens.
Other times its the laser's voltage needs to be adjusted.
Some times it can also be that some game save data has become corrupt.
This can be the error when a game automatically attempts to access the game save and it is corrupt. If the game save data is corrupt you must go into the Xbox dash and remove that game save.

1: Cleaning the cd/dvd. Check the actual CD/DVD for scratches. Try a new disk if scratched.

    2. Clean the laser Lens. Open the case and use a q-tip and some rubbing achol and gently polish the lenst of the laser, leave it evenly clean. Do not push down it can get knocked out of alignment. Use the dry end of the Q-Tip to Duh Dry it. Make sure no fibers are on the lens when done. Alternatly you can try a CD lens cleaner but they rarely work.

    3. Adjust the laser voltage. This is a very comprehensive thing to do I would suggest getting the WWW.XBOXREPAIRGUIDE.COM and it has how to do this on every DVD drive (Thomson, Phillips, and Samsung).

    4. Replace the DVD laser. Once again please go to WWW.XBOXREPAIRGUIDE.COM and purchase and read the guide.

    5. If all else fails you can purchase a whole new DVD drive. Also available at WWW.XBOXREPAIRGUIDE.COM and WWW.EBAY.COM

Why buy the guide when we are giving you the information for free? The guides are crap anyway, forums like this are much more resourceful!!!
