anyone that can clarify this would be awsome! ok so my friend said that i could use the hard drive from my xbox in my pc (which is phat because my comp is weak an im getting a 360 soon)BUT id kinda like to know if it works and if so how before i tear my lovely little xbox apart... oh and would a hack affect this?
Yes while that's not wholy incorrect, you should note the following: The XBOX™ only has a standerd 10Gb HDD. Some XBOX™ (v1.0 /1.1) might have had a Western Digital HDD with a 20Gb HDD in it. But chances are you only have a 10Gb Drive. So with the prices of HDD's these day it'makes no sence to dismember a poor XBOX™ for such a low capacity Drive. If you are indees hellbent on doing this though. You will need to find a Program called 'ConfigMagic'. With this Program you will not only be able to get your HDD-Key, But also have the option to either unlock it or to lock it to the Current XBOX™. So if you wanted to use this Drive in a PC you would have to unlock it first. Then you could eventualy use this in your PC (after reformating it for PC use that is!)...
