Hey guys, about 2 weeks ago there was a black cat that kept coming to my backyard. about 1 week ago it had gotten into a fight in my yard with another cat. Then for the past few days the cat has been visiting my house but I noticed something different. It was missing a foot!!! I feel sorry for the poor thing and I;m wondering what I should since he seems to be a regular.

I'd say.... Target Practice! Take out the other foot if you can, or just put it out of its misery if you are feeling generous.

If the thing is missing a foot, you have two choices:

1.) Take the cat to the vet...NOW!

2.) Get close enough to the cat and either take it's head off with a rifle round or 'splode it with a shotgun....NOW!

Either way, the animal is suffering and it's your native duty as a self-aware and conscious being to do something to ease that suffering....and to do it NOW!

Yea, I'm with you guys, either take the thing to the vet or do some target practice.

End the suffering. By now it has suffered long enough and most likely lost enough blood to compromise it's chance at survival. Taking it to the vet now would almost be an act of cruelty.

    Click...bang.

    I don't think there's another option left.

Well I dont want to end its life, myself anyway. But then I also dont want to pay for the vet bill. So I'm at a loss of what to do.

Take the thing to the Humane Society in your town, I'm sure they could put the cat to sleep and you wouldn't have to foot the bill.

Just cuz i feel like being an ass: are you a vegan? Do you refuse to own anything leather? Do you use anything containing gelatin or glycerine in any way, shape, or form? Have you ever used conventional oil in your car? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, and surely other questions, you're surviving in part due to the death of not just plants and "lesser forms of life," but from mammals. Animals close to people in the big picture. And if you answered "yes," time to man up and do something directly that you've been doing indirectly for a while.

    </ass>

I apologize if that comes across as rude or uncalled for or something. Growing up in "the country," you put animals down yourself when they need putting down. If for any other reason, it could just as well be for a reverance for life. Therefore, from my perspective, it comes across as absurd to me to be sitting idly in your position, especially for the length of time you have been.

Oh, how differences in culture add to the zest of life. :p

Hehe, if a vegen ever saw me chow down I wouldnt be here right now... I'm just a quesy person, but I'll never give up the finer foods in life, I rarely eat "chick" food. And no, just because I'm quesy I'm not... dunno how to put it respectfully but I'm not that if you know what I mean.

I get what you mean...but I still say you should conquer yours fears, if you catch my drift.

If not, at least go to the humane society, as said above.

Then you've got a lot in common with my friend mike, who is reading this while sitting on his lard-tush at work.

take it to the humane society as they'll deal with it 1 way or another. i strongly don't think the other cat took off that foot but more likely is caused by a human 1 way or another.

Yeah if I see him again I'm going to take him to the animal shelter if I can catch him. Also sorry if I offended anyone with my previous comment, I usually tend to over react to that kind of stuff, and I'm mad that my typos keep occurring more and more in the most embarrassing spots.

    How, exactly, is it funny?

    Well let's see....

A)This isn't something you would typically see on a forum.
B)I was hangen out with "Sampson" at the time. -if you've seen half baked, you know who Sampson is.
C)Well there is no C, reason B pretty much sums it all up.

    Have a nice day....

    A) On narrow-minded, uninterested forums; maybe. Here, at aD, we've had people teaching their animals to smoke Marijuana, people claiming to be Kurt Cobain's illegitimate children and members recruiting a gang to drive-by egg their enemies. Not to mention the formulation of foolproof girlfriend cheating schemes. So yeah, terribly odd indeed!
    B) Don't care for crude cinema, so no. Will put it on my list, notwithstanding.

The compliment is reciprocated, though: deeming the three legged hobblings of a handicapped cat as 'funny' is bluntly messed the **** up. :-(

Edit: Oh, and familiarise yourself with the answer to 4-1, because it's not 1.
