Hello, My HP Pavilion is 3~ years old. As many of you know, when you buy a laptop, the keyboard has these "cool"(read, useless, frustrating pieces of...) hotkeys like the volume bar, mute button, fast forward and so forth. Is there a way to disable them? My laptop is getting a bit old and when it heats, my volume bar and mute button go crazy and start living their own life because apparently the stupid keyboard hotkeys react to the heat. Is there any way of disabling them permanently? Thanks
I'm not sure if this is what your trying to accomplish but you can disable some keyboard funtions through the bios.It sounds like there also maybe a problem with keyboard going bad or it just needing to be cleaned. Was some coffee or other liquid maybe spilled on the keys? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...5108&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
