Hi there, i recently install windows Vista on new partition for my computer, when i tried to access the files on the drive with all my files on it it gives me errors when trying to access pretty much ALL my folders saying "You currently do not have permission to access this folder" its bloody annoying, i can give myself access for the folder, but then i have to do it for the next and the next and the next, completely pointless.

I've disabled the vista User Account Control (UAC) but i still cant access folders without it moaning on about permissions to access the folder, and now i have disabled the UAC i cant even give myself permission to access it!!

So does anyone know how to disable the folder permissions in Vista?

    Thanks :)

welcome to the added security of windows vista, even administrators have to enter their password anytime installing a program, altering a folder etc.

There is no way around this.
Either be smart and revert back to XP, or stick with vista and learn to live with these restrictions.
