Disc Changed?

I keep getting this error, I've looked for an answer but there does'nt seem to be one. I've tried re-installing Nero, Windows XP and changed to better media (datawrite - riteks), I have been having no problems burning before, but for the past few burns I either get the "disc changed" or "power calibration error". I've put in a new PSU and cables but still get the same problems, does this mean I have to buy a new burner or is there a fix for it? Any help would be appriciated because I am starting to get an impressive (or not so) collection of coasters :-(

I dont think its the burner thats dead because I can burn ok using alchol 120

Still stuck though, even contemplating taking a hammer to it :-(
