I'm at a loss for how to fix this problem. I am creating movies using Windows Movie Maker, then burning them to disc with Sonic MyDVD. They play great on computers, but won't play in my standalone DVD. It's a Toshiba SD K620, and I'm using compatible media (DVD-R). I've tried saving in different formats (DV-AVI, WMV) and have adjusted burn speed.. nothing. My Toshiba gives me "disc error" message and says "please check disc." It's a relatively new player, not sure what the problem is. Please help!
Most DVD players (US - not sure about other countries) use mpeg 2 format. Have you tried that format? Check which formats your DVD player will accept. Also your DVD player may not like the media brand even if it is -/+ r compatable.
