After months of success with Nero Recode, I am now getting a message when it tries to burn the DVD+R that the disc is not empty. I've tried a dozen discs, rebooted, shut down every startup program in msconfig. Nothing Works!!!!!!!! Please help.
Hi MrHifi Try uninstalling Nero - run the clean tool - then reinstall Nero. Here's a link for the clean tools for Nero 5, 6 & 7 - use the one for which version you have. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Clean_Tools.html If that doesn't do the trick than post the last Nero log. They can be found here:\ For Nero 6: program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory For Nero 7 program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory. Just be sure to edit out the serial # - they begin w/ 1A,1C or 5C.
Besides that, if you are using a DVD+RW make sure it is formated first. I have seen that message on some of my burns and if i remember correctly all i did was either start the project over with a new disc in there, or just cycle the loading tray and the next read saw correctly that it was a blank disc. Sometimes i had to close down nero and open it up again. Remember to save your project before you close if you try that. As binkie 7 stated, if you post a burn log, we have a much better idea as to what can be changed/fixed on your system.
