I get this error when trying to burn A Mini DVD-R (Ridata RG04), I decided to burn this mini DVD with nero express and nero burning rom choosing the Iso Image directly, it burns ok at 1x until its writing the lead out, after waiting 20 seconds to writing to the lead out the drive goes to a higher speeds(I can hear it) and I get this error, plus my mini DVD does not supports those speeds and the dye gets melted in the process. You have the Sony 710A? You need to put the most recent firmware update on it, I had a 710U (same as 710A) updated the firmware and it work great ever since. visit sony's website.
Thank you for your recomendation but I already have the lastest firmware, could it be that the Sony Dru-710A cant support Mini DVD'S?? Ill try updating nero or using another software, but any other recomendation can be helpfull.
Yeah get the most up to date Nero, I use DVD minis (the optodiscs that no one can use) I have no problems.
Actually that Is what I did, although I havent got the Mini DVD's to burn yet, I also updated alcohol because it did not recognize the Mini DVD's Ill tell u how I do PS: the disk is detected as a normal DVD-R and says "used space:0 bytes free space: zero bytes"
Has this 0 bytes used, 0 bytes left, could be a sign that the drive is having trouble reading the media!?! Plz help
