I have no idea what is happening here. I've burned many dvd's but they were all data discs. For some reason I can't burn a cue/bin image. I put in the blank dvd, choose dvd from the nero menu, choose burn image, choose the cue image file, choose the dvd writer, and then nero says:

    Disc required for compilation: cd-r/rw
    Disc in drive: dvd-r

The image is way too big for a cd (over 2gb) so why does nero want to put it on a cd even though I chose dvd from the menu?! Is there something wrong with the cue image? It's just a text file but there isn't anything that says type=cd-r/rw or anything similar. Here's the error log from nero if that helps:

With the error you're getting, it seems to indicate a problem with your burner, I noticed you have updated latest firmware which I thought would solve the problem, I have gone as far as I can go so hopefully someone will come along and check it out for you, good luck.

This may sound a little stupid but have you tried a different brand of media?
